Integral Half Bezel Ring: The width of an integral half bezel ring is determined by the width of the stone being set. The width where the stone is set is the same as the stone being set. For instance a 0.5 carat diamond is approximately 5mm wide, making the ring 5mm wide at the top. The ring is then tapered to a more narrow width as it goes down the band (generally about 30%).
The thickness of the band is also determined by the size of the stone. The top of the band is thicker than normal bands to accommodate the setting of the stone. The thickness of the band is tapered as it goes around the band. No rails. The size of the stone changes the dimensions of the ring.
Three-quarter round (3/4) Ring: Rounder and thicker than a comfort fit band (app. 2.7mm in thickness). No rails; always 3.5mm in width.
