Nanako is an exciting technique we can add to a mokume ring that allows one color of the mokume to be very visible and interesting. Nanako is a freeform version of a Japanese sword fitting decoration technique which means fish roe after the little round beads raised on the surface. These rings are in our "A" metal combination of 18k yellow gold, 14k palladium white gold, 14k red gold, and sterling silver mokume gane. Both rings are etched and then the Nanako is added.
