We are often asked when Jim is teaching again. Jim and Chris taught at New Approach in October 2019 and have not taught since then. CAD to RING! A client wanted a very special engagement ring. They picked out a beautiful Asscher cut lab created diamond and had a number of different styles they were interested in. Jim did a number of CADs to obtain the absolutely RIGHT design for this couple! Sometimes the first CAD is the final design...sometimes just a tweak or two....and sometimes more than one design. Throwback Thursday. Back in late 2012 we were contacted with a request to make a ring for a tourmaline the client had had for 15 to 20 years. He also had admired Jim's work for many years. He was treating himself to a special birthday present! He agreed the integral half bezel protected the gemstone while still showing it off. Thank you for having us make you this ring for yourself! ... See MoreSee Less
