Design Your Ring

Damascus steel rings are only available in the burl pattern and weave pattern; blackened stainless steel rings are only available in the burl pattern.

•Finish: etched, lightly etched, non-etched.  Stainless steel rings are only available etched.

•Rails: rails can be round, square, milgrain or flush that are soldered onto the mokume band.  Rails can be in platinum, 18K yellow gold, 14K palladium white gold, 14K red gold, palladium 950 or palladium 500

•Liners:  Liners are not needed for comfort or durability.  Liners are added to the inside of the ring and most often are a single metal.  We can use platinum, 18K yellow gold, 14K palladium white gold, 14K red gold, palladium 950 or palladium 500 for liners.

•Stone settings:  small diamonds and gemstones can be set into the band either flush set or channel set.  Larger stones can be set in a variety of settings such as bezels, half bezels, open half bezels, prongs, cross-over prongs, channel settings.

•Diamonds and gemstones:  you can add diamonds or gemstones to your rings.  For rings that are worn daily or frequently we recommend diamonds, sapphires or rubies due to their hardness.  Though there are a variety of factors when considering gemstones it is desirable to use gemstones that are between 8 and 10 on the MOHS hardness scale.  Other gemstones can be used but have a higher risk of breakage. Diamonds and gemstones can be natural, lab created or synthetic.

•CAD: If you do not see exactly what you have in mind you can discuss your ideas with us and from that Jim can generate a CAD of the design.
