Finish

Finishes are etched, lightly etched, or non-etched.  Stainless steel rings are always etched.

Rails

Rails are round, square, milgrain or flush and soldered onto the mokume band.  Add rails in platinum, 18K yellow gold, 14K palladium white gold, 14K red gold, palladium 950 or palladium 500.

Liners

Liners are on the inside of the ring of a single metal.   They are not needed for comfort or durability.  Some people prefer liners for aesthetic reasons or to make engraving easier to read.   We use platinum, 18K yellow gold, 14K palladium white gold, 14K red gold, palladium 950 or palladium 500 for liners.

Stone settings

Set small diamonds or gemstones into the band; for example either flush set or channel set in a row(s). Larger stones can be set in a variety of settings such as bezels, half bezels, open half bezels, prongs, cross-over prongs.

Diamonds and gemstones

Diamonds or gemstones can be center-set or off-set on your ring.  Though other stones are used we recommend diamonds, sapphires or rubies due to their hardness .  When considering gemstones it is best to use harder gemstones that can stand up to daily wear, such as gemstones that are between 8 and 10 on the MOHS hardness scale.  We use gemstones and diamonds that are natural, lab created or synthetic, depending on the client’s preference and budget.  We can set a stone you provide or assist you in obtaining a stone.
